Nasrallah: US embassy in Beirut spies for Israel

Posted on 02 March 2010 02:24 by İslâmi Davet

The Hezbollah leader warns that the US embassy in Beirut engages in espionage activities for Israel, cautioning that the collaboration may lead to the “destruction” of Lebanon.

“All the information which the US embassy gathers in Beirut reaches Israel. Here we are not speaking about a normal foreign embassy which is gathering information for its own government … When it comes to the American embassy in Beirut, it is a different story,” said the Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Monday.

“And so what is given to the US embassy and what reaches the Israelis, the information, all of these leads to the destruction of Lebanon. This helps the Israeli enemy to understand what is going on in Lebanon, to use this information against Lebanon and to take revenge against our country,” he added.

“What is the difference between espionage networks, which give information directly, or giving information by mediation, meaning giving it to the US embassy who then gives it to the Israeli side?” Nasrallah queried.

Hezbollah has fought off bloody Israeli incursions into Lebanon in 2000 and 2006. The second round of the offensives, known as the 33-Day War, killed about 1,200 Lebanese, most of them civilians.

The movement is also an active member of the country’s coalition government.

Sayyed Nasrallah, Meshaal call to give Palestinians civil rights

Posted on 17 January 2010 08:23 by İslâmi Davet

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah received visiting Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal at the head of a delegation representing the Palestinian Resistance movement including Hamas officials Mussa Abu Marzouq and Oussama Hamdan.

The meeting, attended by the member of Hezbollah politburo Hajj Hasan Hodroj, was an opportunity for both leaders to discuss the latest developments in the region in general and the Lebanese and Palestinian situation in particular.

According to a statement released by Hezbollah media relations, Sayyed Nasrallah and his guests discussed the latest political developments related to the efforts undergone to resume the settlement negotiations according to the Israeli conditions. They expressed belief such policies signal the level of failure and decline reached in the Arab official stances in the face of the Israeli threats and US pressures.

Sayyed Nasrallah and Meshaal stressed on the necessity to proceed in building Lebanese-Palestinian relations under the base of consolidation the steadfastness of the Lebanese and Palestinian nations against the schemes of imposing settlement and deleting the Right of Return.

They stressed that the essential and objective condition for that remains in providing Palestinians with their civil and social rights in a way that safeguards their identity and therefore their cause.

Stop building steel wall, Nasrallah tells Egypt

Posted on 28 December 2009 03:09 by İslâmi Davet

Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has called on the Egyptian government to halt the construction of a huge steel wall along its border with the besieged Gaza Strip meant to cut supply tunnels.

“In addition to the siege, there has been news about [building] a steel wall… to terminate the thin veins which are giving some life and some hope to Gaza,” Nasrallah said in an address to thousands of people in Beirut on Sunday as part of ceremonies for Ashura, which is the anniversary of the martyrdom of the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Imam Hussein (PBUH).

“We call on the government in Egypt and the leadership to stop the wall and the flooding of the tunnels and to end the siege. Otherwise, it should be condemned by all Arabs and Muslims,” he stated.

The Hezbollah leader also criticized most of the members of the international community for their deafening silence over the siege of the Gaza Strip.

The remarks echo earlier comments by United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Karen Abu Zaid, who described the wall as more dangerous than the Bar Lev Line built by Israel along the eastern coast of the Suez Canal after it captured the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt during the 1967 Six-Day War.

On a number of occasions, hundreds of Hamas supporters have gathered on the Palestinian side of Gaza’s southern border with Egypt to hold protests against the underground barrier Egypt is building. The demonstrators chant slogans and call on Israel to lift the blockade it imposed over two years ago.

The Egyptian steel wall would block a network of underground tunnels the Palestinians use to bring in a wide variety of goods and products that Israel does not allow into Gaza due to the closure of the commercial crossings with Israel.

The illegal Israeli-imposed blockade of the Gaza Strip, which has steadily tightened since 2007, has had a disastrous impact on the humanitarian and economic situation in the coastal enclave.

Some 1.5 million Gazans are being denied their basic rights, including freedom of movement, and their rights to appropriate living conditions, work, health, and education. The poverty and unemployment rates stand at approximately 80% and 60% respectively in the Gaza Strip.

Nasrallah: Israel’s greed, brutality have no borders

Posted on 27 December 2009 10:50 by İslâmi Davet

Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has urged Muslims to be vigilant against the “borderless Israeli greed and brutality.”

“Israel is an entity that has stolen Palestine and Jerusalem Al-Quds. This entity’s greed, terrorism and brutality have no borders,” said Nasrallah who was addressing thousands of people in Beirut on Sunday as part of ceremonies held to mark the Ashura anniversary.

“Millions of refugees in Palestine and outside Palestine have been living far away from their homes for decades. More than 11,000 prisoners and detainees are living in very harsh conditions in Israeli prisons,” he noted.

“[Palestinian] houses are being demolished and agriculture is being destroyed in order to force Palestinians to flee,” Nasrallah said.

Nasrallah also condemned the “US hegemony” in the Middle East.

He said that “threats against Arabs and Muslims are presented by the American hegemony and its plan to take control of the region.”

“We call on the [Islamic] Ummah to show vigilance against the real nature of the hegemony and not be tricked by the rhetoric and pledges of freedom, democracy and human rights,” the Hezbollah chief added.

“We condemn the American plots and the crimes committed by the US administration in Iraq and Afghanistan and we condemn the US participation in Israeli crimes in Palestine and Lebanon,” Press TV quoted Nasrallah as saying.

The Hezbollah Secretary General went on to add that the oppressed nations will achieve victory against the “American hegemony.”

Nasrallah: Americans first victims of US brutal policies

Posted on 26 December 2009 09:57 by İslâmi Davet

Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has described American leaders as anti-human and brutal, saying US citizens are the first victims of such leaders.

“US authorities are anti-human,” the 49-year-old Nasrallah said, adding the country is governed by the most brutal and greedy individuals.

The Hezbollah chief made the remark during a televised speech marking the eighth day of Muharram on Friday night.

In a reference to the US invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks Nasrallah said that “The American democracy has victimized the Iraqi and Afghan people.”

Years after the US-led invasion of the two Muslim countries, daily violence is calming the lives of people in the two war-ravaged states.

The Hezbollah Secretary General also urged his country’s politicians to “observe a one-year truce” in an attempt to avoid new conflicts.

Nasrallah also called for giving the unity government an opportunity to function.

“Let those who don’t want to tackle the people’s priorities resign from the cabinet,” he noted.

Nasrallah has headed the Hezbollah resistance movement since 1992 when his predecessor, Abbas Moussaoui, was killed in an Israeli helicopter raid.

Nasrallah slams Democracies changing laws to suit Israel

Posted on 25 December 2009 11:13 by İslâmi Davet

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah criticized on Wednesday Western “deep-rooted” so-called democracies that change their whole judicial systems just to suit the Israeli enemy and prevent the arrest of Israeli officials accused of committing war crimes against the Palestinian people.

Speaking during the seventh Ashoura night at the Sayyed al-Shouhadaa’ compound in Beirut’s southern suburb, Sayyed Nasrallah regretted that Britain is prepared to simply change its judicial system to suit Israel and its interests.

“The same applies to the United States of America,” Sayyed Nasrallah said. “While it claims to carry the slogans of freedom, democracy and freedom of expression and speech in the world; the US Congress almost unanimously passes a law that penalizes owners of satellites that rent out airspace to some Arab satellite channels, just because these Arab satellite channels tell the Arab peoples the truth and the facts about occupation, aggression and the US project in the region,” his eminence emphasized. “They toy with the law according to their whims and moods,” his eminence concluded.

Hezbollah Secretary General devoted the main part of part to emphasize the importance of laws and the necessity of abiding by them. His eminence stressed that, no matter what the nature of the country’s system is, everyone needs to adhere to the laws relating to public order.

Sayyed Nasrallah stressed on the necessity to comply with traffic signs and vehicle types (whether petrol or diesel), indicating that non-compliance with traffic laws is a detriment to citizens and public order. “Rules should be respected and worked by and such rules do not conflict with religion or Shari’a whether in Lebanon or elsewhere,” his eminence pointed out.

Sayyed Nasrallah also touched on the issues of electricity and water, emphasizing the impermissibility of drawing off free of charge electricity from public power cables, stressing the need for acquiring electricity and water through subscribing for State services. His eminence also pointed to the impermissibility of violating building codes or neglecting labor laws in government departments under the pretext of non-compliance with non-Muslim State regulations.

“My speech is for all people in the country, Muslims and Christians, whether they are interested in religious matters or not. I direct my speech to a human community living in one homeland under the protection of the State, sharing a common life and common interests, as the airport and port, the economy and agriculture, industry and budget, deficit and debt are for all of us,” Sayyed Nasrallah said.

His eminence noted that the matter is not related to an opposition or a majority, to an Islamic system or non-Islamic one, to whether we approve the system or not, whether it is a dictatorship or not. “What is happening in the country affects the whole country, then the interests of people and society is to respect this kind of law-related public order without discussion, because this is the interest of the country,” his eminence explained.

Sayyed Nasrallah concluded his speech by recalling that the aim of the prophets, sacrifices, rules, and religions is to achieve the best possible life conditions for people within their security, stability, freedom, joy, development, education, luxury, and their religious and moral perfection. “Therefore, there is a set of rules that preserves people’s lives and life style, whether it is in a Muslim government or a non-Muslim government, for these kinds of rules aim at the same target of the prophets and their movements, and all the good ones throughout history, so that it would be respected and taken into consideration because it is of people’s benefits, and this is the Islamic

Hezbollah leader hails Hariri’s landmark visit to Syria

Posted on 21 December 2009 04:36 by İslâmi Davet

Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has hailed the Lebanese prime minister’s visit to Syria, calling it a practical step to open up ‘new horizons’ in ties between the two Arab neighbors.

“The important and historic visit helps make the atmosphere comfortable between the two countries. It will also help prevent any Shia-Sunni strife,” Nasrallah’s office said in a statement late on Saturday.

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri met Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus on Saturday for talks to end nearly five years of animosity between Damascus and Hariri’s March 14 alliance.

His visit opened a new chapter in relations between the countries, which have been characterized by upheaval and suspicion for decades.

“We want to open new horizons between the two countries. The three rounds of excellent talks with the Syrian leader were frank and based on clarity.

“There will be serious steps from our side and on the part of President Bashar al-Assad to translate this cordial and serious relationship into steps on the ground in several fields,” Hariri told reporters at a press conference at the Lebanese Embassy in Damascus.

Beirut’s relations with Damascus hit rock bottom following the 2005 assassination of Hariri’s father, former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri, and the withdrawal of Syrian troops from Lebanon that followed.

The two Arab neighbors established diplomatic ties for the first time last year, with Syria opening an embassy in Beirut, while Lebanon sent an ambassador to Damascus.

Lebanese analysts say an improvement of ties with Damascus would bridge the political divide in Lebanon, ease sectarian tensions, and provide Hariri with the necessary authority to push through long-delayed economic and other reforms.

Political actors still being bribed to criticize Resistance

Posted on 20 December 2009 15:04 by İslâmi Davet

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said on Saturday that Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s visit to Syria this weekend is a positive step that promotes a calm and relaxing climate in Lebanon.

Speaking at the Central Ashoura gathering hosted by Hezbollah in Sayyed Alshouhada Compound at Beirut’s southern suburb, Sayyed Nasrallah said that despite this, some [political] actors are still being bribed to continue criticizing the Resistance and its weapons.

His eminence said that many people are questioning the use and the importance of the Resistance’s weapons which are now strong enough to defeat Israel.

The Hezbollah Secretary General also said that racial and ethnic conflicts have always existed, but some people are using the tensions to their own advantage. Sayyed Nasrallah added that the US wants to have control over Lebanon’s policies and over the region.

His eminence also said that Israel continues to threaten Lebanon, especially after his party’s participation in the cabinet, adding that Hezbollah was a part of the cabinet last year, and no threat was mentioned then.

HEZBOLLAH SOURCES: HARIRI’S VISIT HELPS AVOID SUNNI-SHIITE STRIFE

Meanwhile, Hezbollah leadership sources have said that Hariri’s visit to Damascus was “important and historic” adding it would help “avoid any “Shiite-Sunni strife.”

The sources told daily An Nahar in remarks published Sunday that the party was relieved at the visit because “it would reflect positively” on Lebanon and produce “stability.” They said the party was keeping a close watch on the trip which would also “normalize ties” between the two countries and “consolidate national unity.”

Hezbollah New Manifesto: We Want Strong, United Lebanon

Posted on 01 December 2009 12:39 by İslâmi Davet

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah announced on Monday the Resistance party’s new political document that was approved during the party’s General Conference that lasted for months.

Sayyed Nasrallah held a press conference through a giant screen at al-Jinan hall on the airport road to declare the new political document. The press conference was attended by prominent Lebanese, Arab and international journalists as well as some Hezbollah leaders and various political figures.

His eminence started the conference by noting that Hezbollah new political document aims to define the political vision of the party and includes its visions, stances, and aspirations. “This political document also comes as a result of the responsibility of sacrifice that we have experienced,” his eminence added.

“At an exceptional time filled with transformations, it is no longer possible to address these changes without noting the special position our resistance has reached. We will address these transformations through two paths: the first is the Resistance one that resorts to the military and political victories as well as the expansion of the Resistance while the second focuses on the path of the US-Israeli mastery and hegemony which is witnessing military defeats that showed a failure in administering the developments.”

“What strengthens the international hegemony system crisis are the actual collapses in the financial markets and the entry of the US economy in a situation of failure. Therefore, it’s possible to say that we are amid historical transformations that signal the retreat of the US role as a predominant power and the demise of the Zionist entity.”

“The resistance movements are at the heart of international transformations and emerge as a strategic factor after performing a central role in producing those transformations in our region,” Sayyed Nasrallah read out, adding that the Resistance in Lebanon was the first to fight occupation and perceived since the beginning that it will reach victory at the end. “Through its long path and its depicted victories, the Resistance’s project has grown from a liberation power to a balance and confrontation one to a defense and deterrence one in addition to its political and internal role as an influencing basis in building the just and capable state. The Resistance in Lebanon has evolved from a Lebanese national value to an Arab and Islamic value and has become today an international value that’s taught all over the world.”

“Hezbollah does not underestimate the size of current challenges and threats or the severity of the confrontation path. However, Hezbollah has now clearer choices and more trust in its people. In this context, Hezbollah defines the main headlines that constitutes a political and intellectual framework of its vision and stances towards the challenges,” Hezbollah Secretary General read out, concluding the manifesto’s introduction.

CHAPTER ONE – DOMINATION AND HEGEMONY
“Following the World War II, the United States became the center of polarity in the world, taking advantage of accomplishments on several levels of knowledge, including education, science and technology that are supported by an economic system that only views the world as markets that have to abide by the American own view. The most dangerous thing in their hegemony is that they consider that they own the world and therefore, the Western expanding strategy turned to be an international one without limits,” Hezbollah new manifesto says, according to Sayyed Nasrallah.

“Globalization has reached its most dangerous aspect when it turned to a military one led by those following the Western plan of domination and was reflected in the Middle East in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon. This plot found its peak with the neoconservative grip under the administration of George Bush since their project found its way to execution after he was sworn in. It was neither weird nor surprised that what the neoconservative platform focused on the most was rebuilding US capabilities what reflected a strategic vision of US national security through building military strategies not only as a force of deterrence but also as a force of action and intervention. Following the September 11 attacks, the Bush administration found that the opportunity was appropriate to exercise the largest possible influence under the slogan of universal war against terrorism. It has performed many attempts that were considered as successful in the beginning based on militarizing relationships with other countries and on having monopoly over decision-making by taking strategic decisions and rapidly ending war in Afghanistan to have the maximum amount of time for the next step, which is taking over Iraq and the foundation for launching the New Middle East project. Furthermore, the Bush administration sought to establish a conformity between terrorism and Resistance to remove the latter’s legitimacy and therefore justify wars against its movements, seeking to remove the fundamental right of the nations of defending their right to live with dignity and national sovereignty.”

“The Bush administration gave itself an absolute right to launch destroying wars that don’t differentiate between human beings, given that the cost of the US terrorism wars has cost the humanity until now millions of people as well as global destruction. In brief, the Bush administration has transformed the United States into a danger that threatens the whole world.”

“Terrorism has turned to be an American pretext for hegemony through many tools such as pursuit, arbitrary detention, unjust trials witnessed in Guantanamo as well as through direct meddling in the sovereignty of other countries and states in addition to impose sanctions against complete nations. The US terror is the root of all terror in the world.”

“The failure and decline of the US strategy does not mean it will easily stop interfering, but will make an effort to protect its strategic interests. Indeed, if the whole world was suffering from the American hegemony, the Arab and Islamic nations seem to suffer even more for many considerations related to history, geographic site, civilization and culture. The Arab and Islamic world has always been subject to endless wild and savage wars. However, its most dangerous steps was reached with the creation of the Zionist entity. The central goal of the American hegemony resides in dominating the nations politically, economically, culturally and through all aspects. To achieve this goal, Washington resorted to different general policies and work strategies including providing the Zionist entity with stability guarantees, create sedition and divisions in the region especially sectarian ones.”

“The American arrogance has left no choice to our nation and people but the choice of resistance, at least for a better life, and for a humanitarian future, a future governed by relations of brotherhood, solidarity and diversity at the same time in a world of peace and harmony.”

CHAPTER TWO – LEBANON

CHAPTER TWO, SECTION ONE – THE HOMELAND
“Lebanon is our homeland and the homeland of our fathers, ancestors. It’s also the homeland of our children, grandchildren, and the coming generations. It is the country to which we have given our most precious sacrifices for its sovereignty and pride, dignity and liberation,” Sayyed Nasrallah read out from the political document introduction on Lebanon.

“We want Lebanon for all Lebanese alike, and we want it unified. We reject any kind of segregation or federalism, whether explicit or disguised. We want Lebanon to be sovereign, free, independent, strong and capable. We want it also to be strong, active, and present in the geopolitics of the region. We want it also to be a key contributor in making the present and the future.”

“To conclude, it should be mentioned that one of the most important conditions for the establishment of a home of this type is having a fair state, a state which is capable and strong, as well as a political system that truly represents the will of the people and their aspirations for justice, freedom and security, stability and well-being and dignity. This is what all the Lebanese people want and work to achieve and we are a part of them.”

CHAPTER TWO, SECTION TWO – THE RESISTANCE
“Israel represents an eternal threat to Lebanon – the State and the entity – and a real danger to the country in terms of its historical ambitions in land and water especially that Lebanon is considered to be a model of coexistence in a unique formula that contradicts with the idea of the racist state which expresses itself in the Zionist entity. Furthermore, Lebanon’s presence at the borders of occupied Palestine obliged it to bear national and pan-Arab responsibilities.”

“The Israeli threat to this country began since the laying of the Zionist entity in the land of Palestine, an entity that did not hesitate to disclose its ambitions to occupy some parts of Lebanon and to seize its wealth, particularly its water. Therefore, it sought to achieve these ambitions gradually. This entity started its aggression on Lebanon since 1948 from the border to the depth of the country, from the Hula massacre in 1949 to the aggression on the Beirut International Airport in 1968, including long years of attacks on border areas, their land, population and wealth, as a prelude to seize direct land through repeated invasions, leading to the March 1978 invasion and the occupation of the border area, making its people subject to its authority at all levels, as a prelude to subdue the whole country in the invasion of 1982.”

“All of this was taking place with a full support of the United States and ignorance until the level of complicity of the so-called international community and its institutions amid a suspicious Arab official silence and an absence of the Lebanese authority at the time leaving the land and people subject to the Israeli occupation without assuming its responsibilities and national duties.”

“Under this great national tragedy, Lebanese who are loyal to their homeland didn’t have the choice but to use their right and proceed from their national duty and moral and religious in the defense of their land. Thus, their choice was: the launch of an armed popular resistance to confront the Zionist danger and permanent aggression.”

“In such difficult circumstances, the process of restoring the nation through armed resistance started, paving the way for liberating the land and the political decision from the hands of the Israeli occupation as a prelude to the restoration of the State and the building of its constitutional institutions. The Resistance has crowned all these dimensions together through achieving the Liberation in 2000 and the historic victory in July 2006, presenting to the whole world a true experience in defending the homeland, an experience that turned into a school from which nations and states benefit to defend their territory, protect their independent and maintain their sovereignty.”

“This national achievement was made real thanks to the support of a loyal nation and a national army, thus frustrating the enemy’s goals and causing him a historic defeat, allowing the Resistance to celebrate alongside its fighters and martyrs as well as all of Lebanon through its nation and army the great victory that paved the way for a new phase in the region entitled pivotal role and function of the resistance to deter the enemy and ensure the protection of the country’s independence, sovereignty and defend its people and completing the liberation of the rest of the occupied territory.”

“The Resistance role is a national necessity as long as the Israeli threats and ambitions continue. Therefore, and in the absence of strategic balance between the state and the enemy, the Israeli threat obliges Lebanon to endorse a defensive strategy that depends on a popular resistance participating in defending the country and an army that preserves the security of the country, in a complementarity process that proved to be successful through the previous phase.”

“This formula, developed from within the defensive strategy, constitutes an umbrella of protection for Lebanon, especially after the failure of other speculations on the umbrellas, whether international or Arab, or negotiating with the enemy. The adoption of the Resistance path in Lebanon achieved its role in liberating the land, restoring the State institutions and the protecting the sovereignty. Afterwards, Lebanese are concerned with safeguarding and maintaining this format because the Israeli danger threatens Lebanon in all its components, what requires the widest Lebanese participation in assuming responsibilities of defense.”

“Finally, the success of the Resistance experience in fighting the enemy and the failure of all plots and schemes to delete resistance movements or besieging them or even disarming them annexed to the continuation of the Israeli threat in Lebanon obliges the Resistance to do its best to strengthen its abilities and consolidate its strengths to assume its national responsibilities and liberate what remains under the Israeli occupation in the Shebaa farms and Kfarshouba Drills and the Lebanese town of Ghajar as well as liberating the detainees and missing people and martyrs’ bodies.”

CHAPTER TWO, SECTION THREE – STATE AND POLITICAL SYSTEM
“The main problem in the Lebanese political system, which prevents its reform, development and constant updating is political sectarianism,” Hezbollah manifesto clearly states.

“The fact that the Lebanese political system was established on a sectarian basis constitutes in itself a strong constraint to the achievement of true democracy where an elected majority can govern and an elected minority can oppose, opening the door for a proper circulation of power between the loyalty and the opposition or the various political coalitions. Thus, abolishing sectarianism is a basic condition for the implementation of the majority-minority rule.”

“Yet, and until the Lebanese could reach through their national dialogue this historic and sensitive achievement, which is the abolishment of political sectarianism, and since the political system in Lebanon is based on sectarian foundations, the consensual democracy will remain the fundamental basis for governance in Lebanon, because it is the actual embodiment of the spirit of the constitution and the essence of the Charter of the co-existence.”

“From here, any approach to the national issues according to the equation of the majority and minority awaits the achievement of the historic and social conditions for the exercise of effective democracy in which the citizen becomes a value in itself. Meanwhile, the Lebanese will to live together in dignity and equal rights and duties requires a constructive cooperation in order to consolidate the principle of true partnership, which constitutes the most appropriate formula to protect the full diversity and stability after an era of instability caused by the different policies based on the tendency towards monopoly, cancellation and exclusion.”

“The consensual democracy constitutes an appropriate political formula to guarantee true partnership and contributes in opening the doors for everyone to enter the phase of building the reassuring state.”

“Our vision for the State that we should build together in Lebanon is represented in the State that preserves public freedoms, the State that is keen on national unity, the State that protects its land, people, and sovereignty, the State that has a national, strong and prepared army, the State that is structured under the base of modern, effective and cooperative institutions, the State that is committed to the application of laws on all its citizens without differentiation, the State that guarantees a correct and right parliamentary representation based on a modern election law that allows the voters of choosing their representative away from pressures, the State that depends on qualified people regardless of their religious beliefs and that defines mechanisms to fight corruption in administration, the State that enjoys an independent and non-politicized Justice authority, the State that establishes its economy mainly according to the producing sectors and works on consolidating them especially the agriculture and industry ones, the State that applies the principle of balanced development between all regions, the State that cares for its people and works to provide them with appropriate services, that State that takes care of the youth generation and help young people to develop their energies and talents, the State that works to consolidate the role of women at all levels, the State that care for education and work to strengthen the official schools and university alongside applying the principle of obligatory teaching, the State that adopts a decentralized system, the State that works hard to stop emigration and the State that guards its people all over the world and protects them and benefits from their positions to serve the national causes.”

“The establishment of a state based on these specifications and requirements is a goal to us just like it’s the goal of every honest and sincere Lebanese. In Hezbollah, we will exert all possible efforts, in cooperation with the popular and political forces, to achieve this noble national goal.”

CHAPTER TWO, SECTION FOUR – LEBANESE-PALESTINIAN TIES
“One of the tragic consequences of the emergence of the Zionist entity on the land of Palestine and the displacement of its inhabitants is the problem of Palestinian refugees who moved to Lebanon to live temporarily in its land as guests to their fellow Lebanese until returning to their homes from where they were expelled.”

“The original and direct reason of the sufferance of Lebanese and Palestinians was actually the Israeli occupation of Palestine and all the resulting tragedies and calamities in the region. Moreover, the suffering of the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon was not limited to the pain of forced migration but also to the Israeli massacres and atrocities in addition to what happened in the Nabatiyeh camp that has been fully destroyed. Palestinian refugees are also deprived of all civilian and social rights since the Lebanese governments didn’t assume their responsibilities towards them.”

“The Lebanese authorities are nowadays called to assume their responsibilities and therefore build the Lebanese-Palestinian relations under right, solid and legal bases that respect the justice, rights and mutual interests’ balances to both nations. It is imperative that the Lebanese-Palestinian relationship remains governed by the whims and moods, as well as political calculations and internal interactions and international interventions.”

“We believe that succeeding in this mission requires a Lebanese-Palestinian direct dialogue, a permission for Palestinians in Lebanon to agree on a unified reference that represents them, providing Palestinian refugees with their social and civilian rights, committing to the Right of Return and reject settlement.”

CHAPTER TWO, SECTION FIVE – LEBANON AND ARAB TIES
“Lebanon is committed to the just and fair Arab causes, at the top of which comes the Palestinian cause as well as the conflict with the Israeli enemy. Even more, there is a definite need for concerted efforts to overcome the conflicts that run through the Arab ranks.”

“The contradiction of strategies and the difference of alliances, despite their seriousness and intensity, doesn’t justify the policies of targeting or engaging in external projects, based on the deepening discord and inciting sectarianism, leading to the exhaustion of the nation and therefore serving the Zionist enemy in the implementation of the purposes of America.”

“The Resistance choice constitutes once again a central need and an objective factor in strengthening the Arab stance and weakening the enemy. In this context, Syria has recorded a distinctive attitude and supported the resistance movements in the region, and stood beside us in the most difficult circumstances, and sought to unify Arab efforts to secure the interests of the region and challenges.”

“Hence, we emphasize the need to adhere to the distinguished relations between Lebanon and Syria as a political and security and economic need, dictated by the two countries and two peoples and the imperatives of geopolitics and the requirements for Lebanese stability and common challenges. We also call for an end to all the negative sentiment that have marred bilateral ties in the past few years and urge these relations to return to their normal status as soon as possible.”

CHAPTER TWO, SECTION SIX – LEBANON AND ISLAMIC RELATIONS
“The Arab and Islamic world is facing challenges that shouldn’t be undermined. Indeed, the sectarian fabricated conflicts, especially between Sunnis and Shiites, are threatening the cohesiveness of our societies. Therefore, and instead of being a source of wealth, the sectarian diversities seem to be exploited as factors of division and incitement. The situation resulting from this bad use seems to be the result of the intersection of Western deliberate policies, the US in particular.”

“Hezbollah emphasizes the necessity to cooperate will Islamic states at different levels to gain strength in confronting hegemony schemes. Such cooperation also serves in facing the cultural invasion of the community and media, and encourages the Islamic states to take advantage of its resources in the exchange of the different benefits between these countries.”
“In this context, Hezbollah considers Iran as a central state in the Muslim world, since it is the State that dropped through its revolution the Shah’s regime and its American-Israeli projects, and it’s also the state that supported the resistance movements in our region, and stood with courage and determination at the side of the Arab and Islamic causes and especially the Palestinian one.”

CHAPTER TWO, SECTION SEVEN – LEBANON AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
“Hezbollah considers that the unilateral hegemony in the world overthrows the international balance and stability as well as the international peace and security. The unlimited US support for Israeli and its cover for the Israeli occupation of Arab lands annexed to the American domination of international institutions and the American meddling in various states’ affairs and adoption of the principle of circulating wars puts the American administration in the position of the aggressor and holds it responsible in producing chaos in the international political system.”

“The American administration’s unlimited support to Israel … places the American administration in the position of the enemy of our nation and our peoples.”

CHAPTER THREE – PALESTINE AND COMPROMISE NEGOTIATIONS
“The history of the Arab-Israeli conflict proves that armed struggle and military resistance is the best way of ending the occupation. The method of negotiations has proven that the Zionist entity becomes more boastful and more belligerent, and that it has no intention of reaching an accord. The resistance has managed to achieve a huge victory over the Zionist entity, provide the homeland with protection, and liberation of the remainder of its land. This function is a lasting necessity before Israel’s expansionist threats and ambitions as well as the lack of a strong government in Lebanon. The ongoing Israeli threat forces the resistance to continue to boost its capacity … in order to fulfill its role in liberating occupied territory.”

“We categorically reject any compromise with Israel or recognizing its legitimacy,” his eminence concluded. “This position is definitive, even if everyone recognizes Israel.”

Nasrallah: Resistance defeated Great ME plan

Posted on 01 December 2009 10:41 by İslâmi Davet

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said Monday at present Resistance has been institutionalized in the region both among people and at political level.

Nasrallah made the remarks in a ceremony to declare the new charter of the Hezbollah Movement.

“Despite all attacks against Hezbollah and all challenges it was faced with, Resistance could maintain its political position and changed the regional power balance in the interest of Resistance and its supporters,” he said.

Referring to different aspects of America and Israel’s hegemonic policies in the region as well as many secret and open coalitions and alliances in this regard, Nasrallah said that the strategy was eventually defeated.

Collapse of the US financial markets reveals the defeat of the pattern of hegemonic capitalism, Nasrallah said, adding, “We witness historic events including the retreat of America as a dominant power and the weakening of unipolar system as well as fast and historic collapse of the Zionist regime.”

“Resistance movements are at the center of the events. They are the main strategic elements in the international events and play essential role in creating and expediting the events,” he added.

“Lebanese Resistance has moved beyond the country’s level and found a high Arabic-Islamic position. It enjoys a world and human position,” he reiterated.

In another part of his remarks, Nasrallah said American government tried to introduce Resistance as terrorism to remove the Movement’s legal and humanitarian legitimacy and justify its war against the Movement.

America’s war against terrorism has cost lives of millions of people and destroyed cultural heritages of nations, Nasrallah regretted.

The Bush government has turned America into a threat to the entire world, he said adding, “The US terror is the root of all terrors in the world.”

Referring to the traces of American interference in many clashes in different parts of the world, Hezbollah Secretary General urged formation of a global front against the threat.

Hezbollah: Israel a permanent threat to Lebanon

Posted on 01 December 2009 00:46 by İslâmi Davet

Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah says the movement provides Lebanon with stability and security against a ‘permanent threat called Israel’.

Speaking at a press conference in Beirut, Nasrallah said that Israel has always been and always will be a threat to Lebanon, adding that the resistance movement plays a ‘key role’ in repelling such threats.

The Hezbollah secretary general called for a defense strategy based on the power of the resistance and the army that would preserve the security of Lebanon.

Among Hezbollah’s main priorities is to “continue the mission of liberating the territories which still are in Israeli occupation,” Nasrallah said.

“Hezbollah does not underestimate the current challenges and threats or the severity of the confrontation path. However, Hezbollah has now clearer choices and more trust in its people,” He added.

The Hezbollah leader also warned Lebanon’s political parties against political sectarianism and division.

He stressed that Lebanon belongs to all Lebanese and it should become a powerful country and avoid federalism.

“It is the country to which we have given our most precious sacrifices for its sovereignty and pride, dignity and liberation,” he said.

“It should be mentioned that one of the most important conditions for establishing a home of this type is having a fair state, a state which is capable and strong, as well as a political system that truly represents the will of the people and their aspirations for justice, freedom and security, stability and well-being and dignity,” he concluded.

Send Your Whole Army, We’ll Destroy Them!

Posted on 12 November 2009 05:39 by İslâmi Davet

nasrallah-martyrs-day,

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah declared on Wednesday that the battle with Israel next time would start from “beyond and beyong Haifa” instead of “Haifa and beyond Haifa,” emphasizing that the Resistance doesn’t seek war but is ready for any form of confrontation with the enemy.

Sayyed Nasrallah was speaking through a large TV screen commemorating the annual Martyr’s Day in the framework of a ceremony held by Hezbollah at the southern suburb of Beirut.

Sayyed Nasrallah addressed Israeli, renewing commitment to the Resistance’s pattern and choice. “Send as many Israeli brigades as you want, send even your whole army, we will destroy them in our valleys and mountains,” his eminence said, addressing Israeli Prime Minister, Defense Minister and chief of staff.

While calling the Lebanese security apparatuses to reopen the file of collaborators with Israel, Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized that the Lebanese want for the new government to be one of national cooperation and national coherence instead of being a barricades the government.

Hezbollah Secretary General emphasized that the success of the government benefits the Resistance in Lebanon, but called on ministers to cooperate and work as one team to achieve such success. “Let the government work and don’t set realistic goals in the ministerial declaration,” his eminence said, addressing Lebanon’s Prime Minister and his ministers. “Let Lebanon rest and the dialogue table can consider any thorny issue,” his eminence added.

Regionally, Sayyed Nasrallah called for more regional cooperation and for a Saudi-Iranian rapprochement, saying that communication between the two mentioned countries should be established. His eminence called on for efforts to stop the war in Yemen, rejecting claims that it was of a sectarian nature.

HEZBOLLAH ATTACHED TO ALL RESISTANCE’S MARTYRS
Hezbollah Secretary General started his speech by focusing on the importance of the martyr’s day to remember the Resistance’s martyrs and the sacrifices they have paid for the sake of the country.

Martyr’s Day is celebrated on the 11th of November of each year as a tribute to martyr Ahmed Qassir, who initiated martyrdom operations against Israeli occupation forces in south Lebanon.

“We chose this day to be Hezbollah Martyr’s Day although we believe that we belong to all martyrs who sacrificed themselves to protect the country, the nation and the Dignity,” Sayyed Nasrallah said. “However, and since we are a part of this nation and its Resistance and Jihad, we have our martyrs. When we talk about Hezbollah’s martyr, we don’t ignore other martyrs of the Resistance in the region and all the generations that refuse occupation.”

“We chose November 11 to be Hezbollah Martyr’s Day because it’s the day of the martyrdom of Ahmad Kassir who chose Jihad, the hero of the first martyrdom operation in Tyr, the operation that destroyed the enemy’s arrogance before destroying one of its well-fortified strongholds. We consider this day a great day for the Resistance, a day in which the enemy felt himself inconsiderable, weak, defeated and astonished.”

“Today, we recognize our martyrs’ sacrifices since 1982, including in 2000 and in 2006, when the project to create a new Middle East failed. In today, like every year, we pay tribute to our martyrs, we remember their achievements and victories, we renew commitment to continue their path without hesitation and to remain loyal to their commandments,” Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out.

“Today, we meet here in a part of Beirut’s southern suburb, the suburb that was profaned by the enemy alongside Beirut, the Mount, the South and the Bekaa. But all these regions, except the Shebaa Farms, have returned thanks to the martyrs’ sacrifices. Today, we thank them from all our heart to everything they did and we tell them that we are living powerfully and in dignity due to their bloodshed and sacrifices.”

US FULLY COMMITTED TO ISRAEL’S SECURITY AND INTERESTS
Following this introduction, Sayyed Nasrallah started his political speech by focusing on the US administration’s continuous and flagrant support for the Israeli enemy. “A few months ago, when Barack Obama was elected as US President and a new American administration saw light, many had high hopes and believed that major changes will happen in favor of the Arab and Islamic world and that there would be a reform policy and more human approach than that of former US President George W. Bush. However, the truth was quickly revealed and all these illusions quickly failed, especially during the few last weeks. The result was obviously a full US commitment to Israel’s interest and security, disregarding the dignity and feelings of the Arab and Muslim people and governments.”

Sayyed Nasrallah then turned to the military level and pointed to the US-Israeli latest drills. “Elite US military units come to occupied Palestine and perform joint drills with Israelis. They claim these drills aim to prepare for facing potential rockets from Syria, Iran, Lebanon and Gaza. So, for the first time since tens of years and perhaps since the creation of the Zionist entity, the US forces are in occupied Palestine to impose themselves true partners in any confrontation imposed by Israel. This is something that we didn’t even see with the former administration of George W. Bush.”

His eminence then recalled of the US continuous support to Israel since the 2006 July war against Lebanon. “Since the July War, the US has offered Israel complete military and logistic support. The Obama administration came and sought to play the “hero” game claiming to spare efforts to suspend settlements. But I told you since the beginning it was just a trick and this is what happened, causing a sort of frustration within the Palestinians.”

Commenting on the statement of a Palestinian diplomat who said that Palestinians have conducted 18 years of failed diplomacy, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “Eighteen years of negotiations resulted in failure and frustration alongside the persistence in occupation while eighteen years of resistance which liberated Beirut, Bekaa, Mount and South.”

US PROTECTS ISRAELI VIOLATIONS, WANTS LEBANON TO IMPLEMENT RESOLUTIONS!
Sayyed Nasrallah then pointed to the “double standards” of the international community. “The US, which is supplying Israel with technology and weapons, is requesting the full implementation of UN Security Resolutions. The US, which defends and protects Israel as it violates the resolutions, is urging Lebanon to fully implement the international resolutions. It’s the US that’s also working to prevent voting on the Goldstone report within the Security Council, a report that unfortunately equalizes the victim and the hangman. But, unfortunately, we have reached a stage where we accept that the violator and the violated are treated equivalently.”

“We tell all those who asked us to give the Americans some time… it turned out that presenting a black president from the third world was a trick that ended faster than we expected. Meanwhile, Israel maintains its armament, espionage cells and reconnaissance planes and spying devices. It continues to exploit any incident, whether a real or fabricated one, as part of its war on Lebanon, Palestine and Resistance movements.”

“The Israeli are still conducting their psychological war against Lebanon and Gaza,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, pointing to the Israeli first reaction following the birth of the Lebanese government. “When the Lebanese cabinet was formed the first reaction by Israel was threatening the Lebanese government because Hezbollah took part in its cabinet. Actually, Hezbollah was part of the previous governments as well.”

MORE REGIONAL COOPERATION NEEDED TO FIGHT DIVISION ATTEMPTS
Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah warned against attempts to portray conflicts in the region as “sectarian” ones and called for more regional cooperation to fight such attempts.

“Tensions are rising in the Arab world and there are attempts to convey them as sectarian strife in order to further divide the region through creating priorities other than the liberation of lands occupied by Israel.”

“We cannot rely on the US to resolve our conflicts when it creates and funds them. Arab leaders should deploy national efforts to resolve their crises,” Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized. “In this regard, we take positively the major role played by Turkey, and we are with “Sunni” Turkey if it defends Gaza and Lebanon more than “Shiite” Iran,” Sayyed Nasrallah said in response to “sectarian” comments.

“We also take positively the Syrian-Saudi summit, and we were the first to reap its fruits. We look positively at any rapprochement in the region, such as the Iranian-Qatari one. Even more, we call for a Saudi-Iranian rapprochement to establish communication between the two countries. Let there be an Iranian initiative toward Saudi Arabia, or a Saudi Arabian initiative toward Iran.”

Turning to Yemen, Sayyed Nasrallah called on for efforts to stop the war in Yemen, rejecting claims that it was of a sectarian nature. “How could it be sectarian? Is President Ali Abdallah Saleh from a sect different than the Houthis’?” his eminence wondered, stressing that the crisis in Yemen is political by nature. “But they are seeking to turn it into sectarian and this is very dangerous and should be stopped.”

Hezbollah Secretary General then praised the latest speech of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad delivered during an economic conference in Turkey. His eminence said he appreciates Assad’s call for adopting Resistance and called to generalize it on the Arab and Islamic levels. “In the Resistance, we are always proud of those who stand at our side. We’re never ashamed of our friendship with Syria, Iran, Turkey, Venezuella and all those who back and support us.”

ISRAEL’S PSYCHOLOGICAL WAR WILL FAIL
Turning into the Lebanese internal crisis, Sayyed Nasrallah chose to start by commenting the Israeli threats against Lebanon. “The Israelis are trying to talk about a war, and when they talk about some rockets in Gaza and Lebanon, they want to create an atmosphere and advocate a possible war. But there is another possibility; that this means never engaging in a war,” Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out.

“When Israeli chief of staff talks about tens of thousands of rockets, he knows we will neither confirm nor deny. But he might be telling his people that if they want to engage in a new war it would not be like in 2006. He’s telling them that there won’t be one place in occupied Palestine that wouldn’t be threatened by rockets and missiles. He is saying that not only Haifa, Netanya and Tel Aviv will be displaced in the next battle but all Israeli settlements.”

While reiterating that “bargaining on regional or international pressure is useless,” Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized that Hezbollah doesn’t seek a war but is ready for all possibilities. “As Lebanese, we should ensure that the Israeli enemy’s psychological war will fail. Israel has to understand that if it launches a war on Lebanon, all the Lebanese will together defend their nation. Through our resistance we will turn this threat into an opportunity,” Sayyed Nasrallah highlighted.

NEXT BATTLE WILL START FROM BEYOND AND BEYOND HAIFA
Hezbollah Secretary General stressed that Lebanese are able of turning any threat into an opportunity. “The Israelis are saying that their air force cannot win such a war. They only have the option of an extended land operation. We will turn this threat into an opportunity.”

“Next time the battle will start from beyond and beyond Haifa instead of Haifa and beyond Haifa,” the Resistance’s leader pledged, adding that “the geographical nature of the south, and Lebanon in general, was created by God to humiliate and destroy the occupiers.”

“We are more trained and prepared. We evaluated the war as well and addressed our weak points,” his eminence said, before addressing Israelis: “Send as many (Israeli) brigades as you want, send even your whole army, we will destroy them in our valleys and mountains.”

WE NEVER CONSIDERED SIZE OF OUR SHARE IN GOV’T
On the new government formation, Sayyed Nasrallah congratulated the Lebanese on its birth following a long delay, refusing to re-open to stage of the formation process for many considerations. “However, I have a quick comment. Now that the government has been formed, people discovered that much of the analyses of media and politicians and experts were false. I used to laugh whenever I heard them saying that Hezbollah is obstructing the cabinet because Iran wants to take something in its nuclear issue. This is really funny. Let those political experts and philosophers return to logic before delivering statements.”

“Our goal since the first day was the cabinet formation and we have never considered the size of our share,” Sayyed Nasrallah stressed.

GOVERNMENT SUCCESS BENEFITS RESISTANCE
Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that “the success of the government benefits Lebanon and the resistance in Lebanon,” and urged patience in raising major issues so that the country can rest.

“We want for the government to be a government of national cooperation and national coherence instead of being a barricades government,” Sayyed Nasrallah stressed.
His eminence called on the PM and the ministers not to set unreachable targets. “The Ministerial Statement should not be debatable. There are priorities, such as the socio-economic situation. Let us not move from one crisis to another. We can discuss whatever we want in the National Dialogue, which is discussing the national defense strategy.”

EVERYONE CALLED TO COOPERATE WITH GOV’T TO FIGHT DRUGS
To conclude, Sayyed Nasrallah opened a very sensitive issue which is the issue of drugs, stressing that all Lebanese were concerned with it.

“Some are seeking to destroy our social environment. The issue of drugs is very dangerous, even more dangerous than robbery and illegitimate sexual relations. All our values collapse when we become addicted to drugs,” Sayyed Nasrallah warned.

His eminence urges all Lebanese to cooperate with the government to fight this new phenomenon. “We have to cooperate with the government, all of us, to deal with the issue of drugs. All sects, all religious figures, parents, everyone is concerned and the security forces need to undertake this responsibility. Israel is working to diffuse drugs in our country as part of its war against us.”

Sayyed Nasrallah ended his speech by renewing pledge to all the martyrs who defended Lebanon, to keep Lebanon a sovereign unified country, the country of stability and civilization.

Only resistance can end Israeli occupation

Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah dubs ‘resistance’ as the only way to end the Israeli occupation.

On the occasion of Hezbollah’s Martyr Day, Nasrallah said Wednesday that while 18 years of Palestinian negotiations with Israelis failed to bring about a free Palestine, the 18 years of Lebanese resistance freed southern Lebanon from the Israeli occupation.

“During 18 years of resistance, many sacrificed their lives for defending Lebanon and liberating our country; the resistance movement owes its achievement to them and we will follow their path, which brought dignity to us,” the Hezbollah leader said.

He also called on Palestinians not to expect gaining their rights by counting on fake mediation efforts of the US, which is totally committed to Israeli interests.

“America is creating our problems; it is giving Israel all kinds of military and strategic support. US is backing away from pressuring Israel on settlements. How can we expect Washington to help us with our problems?” he asked.

Nasrallah also discussed other issues such as Israel’s espionage activities inside Lebanon, the new Lebanese national unity government and Yemen’s military assaults against the Shia resistance fighters.
