Yeri do\u011fal de\u011fildir.<br \/>\nBa\u015flang\u0131\u00e7 meridyeninin do\u011fusundaki meridyenlere do\u011fu meridyenleri, bat\u0131s\u0131ndaki meridyenlere bat\u0131 meridyenleri denir.<br \/>\nMeridyenlerin derece de\u011ferleri 0\u02da meridyeninden do\u011fu ve bat\u0131ya do\u011fru gidildik\u00e7e b\u00fcy\u00fcr.<br \/>\nBir paralel \u00fczerindeki b\u00fct\u00fcn meridyen aral\u0131klar\u0131 birbirine e\u015fittir.<br \/>\nMeridyenler aras\u0131ndaki uzakl\u0131k sadece Ekvator \u00fczerinde 111 km\u2019dir.
