Sokak ayd\u0131nlatmalar\u0131nda, pillerde, cam yap\u0131m\u0131nda ve sofra tuzu (NaCl) eldesinde kullan\u0131lan \u00f6nemli bir bile\u015fendir. S\u0131v\u0131 sodyum, n\u00fckleer santrallerde so\u011futucu g\u00f6revinde de kullan\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. Y\u00fcksek s\u0131cakl\u0131klarda \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma ko\u015fullar\u0131na \u00e7ok dayan\u0131kl\u0131 bir elementtir. Silikat formuysa, mine, emaye ve \u00e7anak-\u00e7\u00f6mlek yap\u0131m\u0131nda \u00f6nemlidir. \u00c7eli\u011fin bile\u015fimine de kat\u0131l\u0131r.
