Her \u00e7e\u015fni zay\u0131f dublet olarak adland\u0131r\u0131lan bir par\u00e7ac\u0131k \u00e7iftine kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k gelir. Dubletteki par\u00e7ac\u0131klardan birinin k\u00fctlesi ve elektrik y\u00fck\u00fc vard\u0131r ve ismi \u00e7e\u015fni ile ayn\u0131d\u0131r (\u00f6rne\u011fin elektron). Di\u011feri n\u00f6trino olarak adland\u0131r\u0131lan k\u00fctlesiz ve y\u00fcks\u00fcz bir par\u00e7ac\u0131kt\u0131r. Farkl\u0131 \u00e7e\u015fniler i\u00e7in lepton say\u0131s\u0131 korunumu (\u00f6rne\u011fin elektron say\u0131s\u0131 veya m\u00fcon say\u0131s\u0131) ilkesinin n\u00f6trino sal\u0131n\u0131mlar\u0131 gibi baz\u0131 \u00f6zel durumlarda \u00e7i\u011fnenebilmektedir.
