B\u00f6yle bir s\u0131ralama ger\u00e7e\u011fi t\u00fcm\u00fcyle yans\u0131tmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi adland\u0131rmalar\u0131n \u201cArap\u201d ve \u201cLatin Alfabesi\u201d diye yap\u0131lmas\u0131 da baz\u0131 kavram ve de\u011ferlendirme karga\u015fas\u0131na yol a\u00e7maktad\u0131r. Tarih boyunca \u00e7ok geni\u015f \u00fclkelere yay\u0131lan ve \u00e7ok de\u011fi\u015fik k\u00fclt\u00fcrlerle ili\u015fkiler kuran T\u00fcrkler bu d\u00f6rt alfabenin d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda ,ba\u015fka alfabeler de kullanm\u0131\u015flard\u0131r. G\u00fcn\u00fcn\u00fczde de s\u00f6z konusu d\u00f6rt alfabeden ba\u015fka alfabeler kullanan T\u00fcrkler vard\u0131r.<\/p>\n
\u00d6te yandan, \u0130slamiyet\u2019le birlikte T\u00fcrkler aras\u0131nda yayg\u0131nl\u0131k kazanan alfabe, salt Araplar\u0131n kulland\u0131klar\u0131 harflerden ibaret olmay\u0131p, ona baz\u0131 eklemeler de yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu nedenle eski yaz\u0131 ya da Osmanl\u0131 alfabesi diye de nitelenen alfabe, Arap alfabesinin T\u00fcrk\u00e7e`ye uygunluk sa\u011flamas\u0131na \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131lan geli\u015ftirilmi\u015f bir bi\u00e7imi idi. Bu nedenle ona Arap alfabesi de\u011fil Arap k\u00f6kenli alfabe demek daha do\u011fru bir niteleme olur.<\/p>\n
Bunun gibi, T\u00fcrkiye de kullan\u0131lan alfabe de \u00f6zg\u00fcn bir Latin alfabesi olmay\u0131p Latin kaynakl\u0131 yeni T\u00fcrk alfabesidir.
