Biya ve Katun \u0131rmaklar\u0131n\u0131n birle\u015fmesiyle olu\u015fur. Bu birle\u015fme noktas\u0131ndan, Kuzey Buz Denizi&#8217;ne d\u00f6k\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc yere kadar 3.650 km uzunlu\u011fundad\u0131r. En uzun kolu Kara \u0130rti\u015f&#8217;le birlikte 5.411 km uzunlukta olan Obi Irma\u011f\u0131&#8217;n\u0131n havzas\u0131 2.990.000 km\u00b2&#8217;lik bir alan kaplar. Obi Nehri&#8217;nin geni\u015fli\u011fi Barnaul&#8217;da 2 kilometredir.
