K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck kesikli silindire bir kuvvet uyguland\u0131\u011f\u0131nda, bu silindirde bas\u0131n\u00e7 bas\u0131n\u00e7 olu\u015fur:<br \/>\n P1= F2: A1 olur. Pistonlar\u0131n konumlar\u0131 ayarlanarak istenilen y\u00f6nde ve do\u011frulta kuvvet elde edilir. K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck kesite uygulanan F1kuvveti ile b\u00fcy\u00fck kesitli piston \u00fczerine oturtulan G a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131\u011f\u0131 kald\u0131r\u0131l\u0131r veya s\u0131k\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131l\u0131r. G a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 kald\u0131ran F2 kuvveti en az a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131\u011fa e\u015fit olaca\u011f\u0131ndan:<br \/>\n    F1 : A1= G: A2   ba\u011f\u0131nt\u0131s\u0131 kullan\u0131l\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>  \u00d6RNEK-1<br \/>\n            Bir su cenderesinde k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck pistonun kesiti 25 cm2, b\u00fcy\u00fck pistonun kesiti 250 cm2\u2019dir.
