Ekliptik d\u00fczlem normaliyle 75\u00b0 15&#8242; a\u00e7\u0131 yapan G\u00fcne\u015f, ekseni etraf\u0131ndaki d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fc yakla\u015f\u0131k 27 g\u00fcnde tamamlar. G\u00fcne\u015fin merkez s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131 10 milyon derece, d\u0131\u015f s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ise 5700 K\u00b0 d\u0131r. Ba\u015flang\u0131\u00e7ta 2&#215;1030 kg&#8217;l\u0131k k\u00fctlesinin %73 &#8216;luk k\u0131sm\u0131n\u0131n hidrojenden, geri kalan k\u0131sm\u0131n\u0131 ise helyumdan olu\u015ftu\u011fu tahmin edilmektedir.<br \/>\n G\u00fcne\u015fin bu bitmez t\u00fckenmez \u0131s\u0131y\u0131 nas\u0131l \u00fcretti\u011fi sorusu, ilk zamanlar insanlar\u0131n kafas\u0131n\u0131 en \u00e7ok me\u015fgul eden soru olmu\u015ftur. Fakat g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde g\u00fcne\u015fin bu \u0131s\u0131 enerjisini i\u00e7indeki hidrojeni \u00e7ekirdek f\u00fczyonu ile helyuma \u00e7evirerek elde etti\u011fi anla\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu tahmine dayanarak g\u00fcne\u015fin \u00f6mr\u00fcn\u00fc yar\u0131lad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 s\u00f6yleyebiliriz.<br \/>\n G\u00fcne\u015f y\u00fczeyi tabakalardan olu\u015fmu\u015ftur. Fotosfer tabakas\u0131n\u0131n hemen \u00fcst\u00fcnde 2500 km kal\u0131nl\u0131\u011f\u0131ndaki kromosfer tabakas\u0131 yer almaktad\u0131r. Bu tabakan\u0131n s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131 en \u00fcst k\u0131s\u0131mda 105 &#8211; 106 K\u00b0 &#8216;ye kadar y\u00fckselebilir. Bu tabakadan hemen sonra geni\u015fli\u011fi gezegenlere kadar uzanan korona tabakas\u0131 yer al\u0131r bu tabakan\u0131n ortalama s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131 106 K\u00b0 kadard\u0131r.
