Koruyucu bir k\u0131l\u0131f g\u00f6revi g\u00f6ren atmosferi sayesinde meteor \u00e7arpmalar\u0131na ve g\u00fcne\u015fin yayd\u0131\u011f\u0131 zararl\u0131 \u0131\u015f\u0131nlara kar\u015f\u0131 gezegen korunur.<br \/>\n D\u00fcnyan\u0131n i\u00e7 yap\u0131s\u0131 \u00fc\u00e7 katmandan olu\u015fmaktad\u0131r. Bu katmanlardan en d\u0131\u015fta bulunan ve ya\u015famaya elveri\u015f olana kabuk ad\u0131 verilmektedir. T\u00fcm canl\u0131 ya\u015fam\u0131n\u0131 \u00fczerinde bulunduran, o bu katman\u0131n ortalama kal\u0131nl\u0131\u011f\u0131 30 km kadard\u0131r. D\u00fcnyan\u0131n merkezindeki \u0131s\u0131 5000 C\u00b0 civar\u0131nda oldu\u011fundan mantonun \u00e7ekirde\u011fe yak\u0131n b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc erimi\u015f kayalardan olu\u015fmaktad\u0131r. Manto tabakas\u0131ndaki bas\u0131n\u00e7 nedeni ile erime noktalar\u0131 y\u00fckselen demir ve magnezyum kat\u0131 halde bulunurlar. D\u00fcnyan\u0131n merkezini olu\u015fturan \u00e7ekirdek ise %90 oran\u0131nda s\u0131v\u0131 demirden olu\u015fmaktad\u0131r. Bunun nedeni \u00e7ekirdekte tahminen 3 milyon Atm olan bas\u0131n\u00e7 alt\u0131nda demirin erime noktas\u0131n\u0131n 8000 C\u00b0&#8217;yi bulan \u00e7ekirdek \u0131s\u0131s\u0131ndan d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck olmas\u0131 olarak a\u00e7\u0131klaya biliriz.<br \/>\n \u00c7ekirdekte bulunan s\u0131v\u0131 demirin konveksiyon ak\u0131mlar\u0131 ile ortaya \u00e7\u0131kard\u0131\u011f\u0131 dinamo etkisi, D\u00fcnyan\u0131n manyetik alan\u0131n\u0131 olu\u015fturur. D\u00fcnya y\u00fczeyini 100km yukar\u0131s\u0131ndan ba\u015flayan manyetik alan yakla\u015f\u0131k 6500km y\u00fcksekli\u011fe kadar uzan\u0131r.
